Williamsburg is a village located in Clermont County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 2,358.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 5.0 km² (1.9 mi²). 4.9 km² (1.9 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.04% water.

Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 2,358 people, 927 households, and 620 families residing in the village. The population density is 476.7/km² (1,235.6/mi²). There are 1,023 housing units at an average density of 206.8 persons/km² (536.0 persons/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 98.69% White, 0.17% African American, 0.34% Native American, 0.08% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.08% from other races, and 0.64% from two or more races. 0.17% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 927 households out of which 35.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.8% are married couples living together, 13.4% have a woman whose husband does not live with her, and 33.1% are non-families. 26.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.50 and the average family size is 3.05.

In the village the population is spread out with 27.2% under the age of 18, 9.7% from 18 to 24, 31.9% from 25 to 44, 20.4% from 45 to 64, and 10.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 33 years. For every 100 females there are 88.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 85.4 males.

The median income for a household in the village is $37,115, and the median income for a family is $46,528. Males have a median income of $35,395 versus $24,455 for females. The per capita income for the village is $17,250. 11.3% of the population and 8.0% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 15.8% are under the age of 18 and 16.3% are 65 or older.
