Chris Reeve
Examples of the jokes illustrate the phenomenon for the reader in a stark, vivid, and honest manner. If it is wrong to include examples of jokes, then its wrong to inclide quotes about Mr. Reeve or -for that matter- events in his life where his tireless efforts in furthering the cause for stem cell research. What seems to be the problem for you here is the brutal truth. It is ugly, but it is true. I commend you for expressing regard for Mr. Reeve's honor and dignity. I too share in your utter disgust that jokes like these have been proliferated through mass media/internet/etc. However, showing people these jokes is what ultimately must been done. Like Hitler's evils during the Holocaust must be studied so as to gain understanding into the very nature of evil, so must this phenomenon. We must learn and help others learn for the betterment of the human race. Leave the jokes, for though ugly, it is the honest truth. Thank you, however, for keeping quadraplegics in mind. It's comforting to me personally that people of your calibur exist!

Hello! I've noticed your past interest in Wikipedia:Mind Benders and wanted to share the following announcement with you! I've taken over the responsibilities of Mind Benders, and the page will now be regularly updated. Right now, the pre-round is open (it's more of a creative artistic competition), and round one will open soon (the questions are done, we just need to wait for the pre-round to begin/finish)! So why not check it out? I'll keep you updated! Thanks, Flcelloguy | A note? | Desk 01:21, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
P.S. Feel free to pass this news on to other Wikipedians.
Poetist vs Poetess
Shenme, I agree with you. I have written over 308 articles for Wiki and among them: Lola Rodríguez de Tió, Maria Bibiana Benitez and José Gautier Benítez. That's the reason that you run into me so many times. I do want you to know that I consider what you're doing as something very positive for these articles. Wikipedia needs more people like you and I'll help whenever the matter comes up. I watch the "List of famous Puerto Ricans" page everyday since my son and I originated it. Your friend in Wiki. FYI
Maybe Clito-R-us is an adult sex toy store in Las Vegas. "Clitorus" gets about 200,000 Google hits and even shows up as a spelling error in a biomedical publication! (second sentence of the abstract) --JWSchmidt 02:17, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
"extra not"
Thanks for catching that. I just changed it back to the original wording. I tend to write messy, looooong sentences....in this case I confused myself. Feel free to jump in and provide a better version. My source for this is actually a book "The Eighth Day of Creation" by Horace Freeland Judson. Judson cited the Science article that I added as a reference. I have never actually seen the Science article. It would be great if someone could go into a research library and confirm exactly what Perutz wrote! --JWSchmidt 23:35, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

Shenmue
you correct spelling mistakes huh!?
What about your name!? is it suppose to be Shenmue (video game) or just Shenme:P
You know..you havn't answerd my question yet Shenmue!
- Oh, it's easy, you could've follow the link from my user page to my page at Simple English Wikipedia. It is 'shenme' (什么), which just means "What?", because I sometimes say that a lot. Shenme 22:57, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
Oh please Shenmue...you know you spelled your name wrong...alot of f00ls do that:P
Wats up Shenmue:)
ex-voto
Sorry if you found the word ev-voto strange. Thanks for wikilinking it, although now it sounds as if these were Catholic votive objects ... do you think it is misleading now? --Nantonos 20:19, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
User pages & Seanver
Thanks for your reversion. I don't came often here. You can see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Miscellany_for_deletion/User:Blisz as i think it's related, and also related to the George McFinnigan problem at es: I thought it was closed since they made up its own wiki (elgranero dot org) where they can vandalize whatever they want. Portugal and the word Sinistrality
I saw you ask what the heck that meant. Haha, I think someone's using Bablefish because it means preference for using the left hand.
Vernal Equinox
WHy did I get that message? I was the one who removed the last bit of vandalism, what exactly did I do? (other then remove the previous poster's vandalism, who put his back up immediately after I took his off). -- 69.248.43.27 00:44, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
- I think you are right that I misread your edit. Your edit was sandwiched in between the other two, and it looked like all one piece of 'work'. My apologies - you _were_ one of the "good guys". Shenme 05:43, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you. -- 69.248.43.27 22:59, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Re: Carpet Bombing
Ok, I see your point :) So far the response has been only positive, but that may change. Thanks for your concern, and I agree, I will stop for now. nsandwich 06:24, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Re: my Mongols edit
Thanks for letting me know what was going on with this article. I'm glad I helped defeat a vandal. I've heard about people spamming Wikipedia, but this was the first time I actually saw someone doing it.

Image:Nasty prod
The prod policy proposal calls for using the process only to delete articles; images should still go through the standard WP:IfD image deletion process. I believe this is because image deletion is irreversible, technically; a new copy of the image has to be uploaded if the deletion is incorrect. So the prod shortcut isn't to be used. A thousand apologies...
I had actually been intending to do it logged out, so it wouldn't have flagged up. Sorry for any distress! It was only an edit or two and stopped now (but you'll be pleased to know it's all working perfectly...) Shimgray | talk | 01:26, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
Greetings
Ah, yes: indeed. I saw that edit from the "new" user, but decided I had had enough stress for the night and got up to take a break. "Aussie Bob" is the Wikipedia:Long_term_abuse/North_Carolina_vandal; I am 100% sure. Once in a while he makes legitimate edits, but it's never long before he starts vandalising again. (I can give you the diffs establishing the exact connection if you want.) Usually, but not always, I revert all of his edits since they're not trustworthy. Thanks for your help! Antandrus (talk) 02:52, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
- By the way, thank you for your hard work here: you've corrected a lot of mistakes and damage, just looking at your recent history. Cheers! Antandrus (talk) 02:53, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
Carolyn Meinel
I removed a large part of the criticism of her critics per your request, which I think is sensible. Hope it is adequate: Carolyn Meinel KI 16:13, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
Thank You for the Compliment
I\'ll be keeping an eye on this page, by the way, are you a teacher from Eric Hamber? I noticed you used the term \"Valiantly\". Ahadiel 00:52, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- No, just a peripatetic wiki gnome, trying to learn about the place (Wikipedia). If valiantly is a local keyword, maybe there's a reason - some of you are? Shenme 01:03, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
Tom Metzger reversion
I think the main thing is not to be in a rush. I saw the April 4 edit and reverted then checked what else they had done. Saw the first couple of lines in the Tom Metzger reversion and assumed they were doing a whitewash of the guy. Of course when you read the whole thing it's obvious nonsense. slice of life
Hi!
1. thanks for looking at that entry which I have just created. you are right: I was kind of unnerved myself because nobody had thought of writing it, so I started it myself... 2. now I know what a wikignome is - thanks for that kind of work too!

Kayode Modupe-Ojo
Good Evening shenme, my name is ryan and Im currently on work experience at a local sporting agency in London. First off all I would like to make clear that I am not very good at spelling so please be very careful as to how you may 'correct' my mistakes!
I am very dissapointed and 'put-off' by your lack off discretion regarding your 'personal' opinion towards my first ever posting on wiki.
I can tell you one thing..ANY information you recieve from me is 100% TRUTHFULL NOT 'hoax-ful'. I have actually met the athlete in question and watched him 'perform' a couple times, NOT for Bolton but for another club. I also gave his name to my boss for further checks before I put him on wiki, and all the checks came back 110% correct.
I am not defending the athlete because I dont know him, I am however defending my 'work' from unfair dismissal.
Fair enough I may have 'cheated' abit by getting some more biographical stuff from other sources BUT for you to 'slate' me on my actual article page itself is very demeaning AND against the wiki (Resolving Disputes) rules.
I felt very humbled and appreciative when you first told me to 'correct' my article page by adding more 'useful' information on it (which I very swiftly did) because you seem to be a very well respected user on wiki. But for you to start 'publicly' deleting me is unreal!!
I have an email address that you can contact me on personally, although its my works email, please make it for my attention (Ryan Numfield) 3dimensionPR@mcpmail.com.
I would appreciate it if you left my first wiki article page 'alone' and kindly forward ANY comment, positive or negative to my email and I would appreciate any help in welcoming me into your 'electronic' information community.
Thank you very much for your interest in my page.
Ryan (APC News)
Descendants
Thanks, and no, you've not irritated me. "Descendants", huh? I think i may actually be able to remember that one: lawyers tend to pretensiously pronounce "defendants" with a short (or is it broad?) a, rather than with the schwa that real people use, and i think you've probably permanently (even tho only slightly) improved my spelling, via that analogy. Thanks!
--Jerzy•t 01:29, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
_ _ Hey, don't give me too much credit; this is a very special case.
_ _ I'm not sure why i don't use a dict site (tho one more window can crash my whole browser), but i frequently use the spell-check on my Google toolbar, and also time-share the bound dict with the love of my life in the next room, another crossword addict.
