Notes

Lara Cox appeared in the second half of the third season as Finn, but was never given credit in the opening credits.

William deVray played Ed Malone in the two-hour telefilm that preceded the series (the film was split into two episodes for syndication purposes). David Orth took over the role at the start of the series proper.

The character of Arthur Summerlee, as portrayed by Michael Sinelnikoff, was killed off in the first season finale, but returned once as a ghost during Season Two.

During the third season both David Orth and Jennifer O'Dell were absent from the series for several consecutive episodes, due in part to financial constraints.

The show was filmed in Australia and New Zealand

Fan Involvement

The official The Lost World (known as TLW to fans) website included a message board that quickly became a popular meeting place for fans of the series. Today, several years after the cancellation of the series, fans still talk about the series on a daily basis. Several small conventions have been put together by a group of fans from the message board. These conventions have been attended by cast and crew from the series. It was at one of these conventions that a packet written by several writers for the series revealed what would have taken place had the series run for a fourth season.
