Charles McClendon

Charles "Charlie" or "Charlie Mac" McClendon was a former Alabama assistant football coach under Bear Bryant, and the head football coach at LSU from 1962 to 1979. He is also a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

McClendon holds the LSU football coaching records for longest tenure (18 years), most wins (137), most bowl games (13), and most bowl wins (6).
