Hermes is the name of Percy Weasley's owl in the fictional Harry Potter series.

Mr. and Mrs. Weasley bought Hermes for Percy in honor of his selection as a Hogwarts prefect in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. In Greek mythology, Hermes is the messenger of the gods, making this a very appropriate name for a messenger owl in the Harry Potter books.

In Chapter 14 of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Hermes delivers Percy's letter to Ron and is described as a "handsome screech owl" (American hardcover edition, 296).
