Paul Weitz (born 1966 in New York, New York) is a film director and screenwriter. Growing up in New York City, he attended The Collegiate School for boys. Then, he graduated from Wesleyan University, where he wrote the play Mango Tea. The play went on to performances off-Broadway.

Nowadays, he usually works with his brother Chris Weitz; the Weitz brothers are the sons of actress Susan Kohner. However, he wrote and directed his recent film, In Good Company, by himself. His other credits as a director include American Pie and About a Boy. His credits as a writer include Antz and the television show Cracking Up.

Notable fashion designer John Weitz is Paul Weitz's father, and Paul Kohner and Lupita Tovar are his grandparents.
