Mould/Mold

Hi Josh, changed it (1) because I'd been editing Phytophthora, and entered [[water mould]], which came up as a red link; then checked the US spelling and found it there, and it was easier to move the page than to type out a new redirect. Also (2) for non-US people, 'mold' is one of the most confusing US spellings, as it completely alters the appearance of the word and its percieved pronunciation, changing it from (SAMPA method) /m@uld/ to /mQld/ (another one that is particularly confusing is foetus/fetus, /fi:tVs/ to /fEtVs/). I left the US spelling in the text, so that both would be visible - MPF 12:24, 23 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Initial paragraph rules

I think the bolding of the name in the initial paragraph is a rule that's very reasonable and should be left in. jaknouse 20:36, 21 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

License

Hi, can you tell me the license of Image:Paramecium.jpg ? Thanks in advance Tipiac 17:27, 13 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Well, I've got your message but I don't understand why you say you are not sure you technically hold the copyright ? As you've taken the photo, why wouldn't you hold the copyright. I think you can release it under GFDL. Tipiac 13:13, 14 Jul 2004 (UTC)

What to you mean by superfluous ranks!!! Seems to me you have taken on a lot on yourself to call what other people spend time adding superfluous. I have been spending quite a lot of time putting them in and I really don't feel like going back and doing them again but I will. Williamb 07:14, 10 Aug 2004 (UTC) I don't think ranks are superfluous, I think they are CORRECT.
