James R. White (born 1962) is a prolific Calvinist theologian and Christian apologist.

White is the director of Alpha and Omega Ministries and an elder of the Phoenix Reformed Baptist Church. He is a professor of Greek and Hebrew and is a critical consultant for the Lockman Foundation's New American Standard Bible.

White has participated in over fifty debates since 1990, covering topics such as Roman Catholicism, salvation, the Trinity, atheism and Islam.

He also runs a blog and a bi-weekly internet radio broadcast, named The Dividing Line.

White is best known as the most prominent critic of the King-James-Only Movement, and was referred to by the extreme KJV-Only supporter Peter Ruckman as a "conceited ass."
