57 Mnemosyne is a large Main belt asteroid. It is a S-type asteroid, so it has a bright surface and is probably a mixture of iron-nickel and silicates.

It was discovered by R. Luther on September 22, 1859. It is named after Mnemosyne, a titaness from the greek mythology.
