John, King of England

John, King of England 1199-1216, was the youngest brother of King Richard I. He is best known for having angered the barons to rebellion, and being forced to sign the Magna Carta in 1215.

(John is sometimes called "John I," but he was and remains so unpopular that it is highly unlikely that there will ever be a King John II.)
