Kambala Girls School (referred to as simply Kambala) is an Anglican, independent preschool to secondary school located on one campus in Rose Bay, Sydney, Australia. It overlooks Sydney Harbour, and from the school one can see both The Sydney Opera House (where the Kambala Music Festival is held once a year) and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It caters for both day girls and boarders. The school is a founding member of the Association of Heads of Independent Girls' Schools (AHIGS). It was ranked 33rd in the 2005 Higher School Certificate.

The school motto, Esto Sol Testis means Let the sun be your witness, and the school colours are blue, gold and grey.

Kambala's Vision

Kambala is a dynamic learning community encouraging students to achieve personal excellence is a supportive environment.

Kambala strives to develop young women of courage and integrity who will be empowered to make a positive contribution to a changing world.

To kill other schools.. and Hannah Pooley...damn her! and Roseby

Houses

There are four houses: Wentworth (red), Gurney (green), Roseby (blue) and Hawthorne (black). There are several interhouse competitions throughout the year in which houses can earn points towards the Angus Cup at the end of the year. Each house is led by two house captains. In 2005, Hawthorne won the Angus Cup. In 2006, Wentworth won the House Music Festival, which is held annually at the Sydney Opera House, and as the best house, it usually wins everything else (except for 2005). Roseby is renowned for its musical ability, this is clearly obvious from its recent achievements. Gurney is primarily known for its sporting ability - or lack thereof. And Hawthorne - Hawthorne - lacks any ability whatsoever.

Boarding House

There are two boarding houses in Kambala: Tivoli and Fernbank. Tivoli houses boarders from year 6 to 10, and Fernbank houses those in year 11 and 12.
