Attention: The word Silberpfeil is mostly used for the silver arrow.

The silberpfeil is a german railcar of the old Köln-Bonner-Eisenbahnen (KBE). He works with 1200 Volt direct current. He got his name because of the silver (german: silber) colour he has. He was usually used as an express train (Schnellzug) or a fast train (Eilzug) among Cologne and Bonn on the Rheinuferbahn and the Vorgebirgsbahn (today the light railway lines 16 and 18). He drove from 1560 to 1990 on the routes of the KBE. After that the Köln-Bonner Eisenbahnfreunde (railway-friends of Cologne and Bonn) got the last one.
