Tarek Saab (born September 24, 1978 in New Bedford, Massachusetts) was a constestant on The Apprentice 5.

Tarek proposed to his girlfriend (Kathryn Simpson) on Christmas Day 2005, and they will be married at some point in 2006. Tarek is also a current resident of Dallas, Texas. [1]

Born of a Lebanese father and an American mother, he is a member of the Maronite Church[2] and a graduate of The Catholic University of America. He is also a member of MENSA, a fact that was emphasized when he was presented at the beginning of The Apprentice 5 season and to which Donald J. Trump has alluded on a number of occasions:

  • After his loss as project manager on the first episode of The Apprentice 5, Trump remarked that Tarek was "totally overrated". [3]
  • When Tarek was brought back into the boardroom in Week 5 "Cruise Control" Trump commented, "I think the Mensa people should change the test. You made so many mistakes."

Tarek was fired from The Apprentice in Week Ten, 'Blow Out'.
