Bone grafting

Bone grafting is a surgical procedure where bone is taken from a donor site and implanted into the patient. A common use of bone grafting is dental implants.

Tissue source

Autologous bone is typically harvested from the iliac crest of the pelvis.

Banked bone from cadavers may also be used.
