The R-Class is an crossover, or series of crossovers, that as of mid-2005 DaimlerChrysler will offer to the public under the Mercedes-Benz brand. It was first seen at the 2001 Detroit Auto Show as the Vision GST Concept. DaimlerChrysler would assemble R-Class automobiles destined for the United States, and possibly other countries as well, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
