Dunwhich Records was started by Bill Traut, Eddie Higgins, and George Badonsky in 1966. After first trying to distribute their records themselves, they quickly went for a distribution deal with Atco records. By mid-1967, Higgns was bought out of the company and Dunwhich stopped releasing records. From then they produce artists and lease the recordings to other labels, who put the Dunwich lute player logo on those records.
