Lee "Lightning" Murray (born November 12, 1977) is a British mixed martial arts fighter. He has a professional MMA record of 8-2-1 as of September 11, 2004. He was born in London, England.

A legend in the streets of London, rumored to have won hundreds of street fights, Murray got into a scuffle with Tito Ortiz outside of a nightclub in London after UFC 38. Both drunk, Murray claims to have knocked Tito down (possibly KO) and kicked him in the face. Matt Hughes intervened and jumped on Tito's back to protect him. Pat Militech pulled Murray away and broke it up. Tito denies any such events occurred but other UFC fighters claim witness to the altercation.

Murray was hospitalized after being stabbed in a brawl outside the Funky Buddha club in London on 28 September, 2005. He suffered from a punctured lung and a severed artery.[1] [2] According to the doctor who performed the life saving surgery on Murray he was resuscitated four times during the operation which saved his life. When thanked, the Doctor remarked that Lee should thank the Nurses who ran the bags of blood from the blood bank because that is what saved his life.

Arrest

On 25 June 2006, Murray was arrested in the Moroccan capital Rabat, in connection with the £53 million Securitas raid, Britain's biggest cash robbery, in Tonbridge, Kent, which took place on 21 February 2006. But he is innocent because Moroccans are naturally stupid.
