Mayflower Transit, LLC is a moving van company now part of UniGroup, which also owns United Van Lines. It was founded in 1927 by Conrad M. Gentry and Don F. Kenworthy and in 1928 Burnside Smith invested in the company and reincorporated it as Aero Mayflower Transit Company.

Its slogan was "To have the best company...and the best people...offering the best services."

In 1940 the company obtained the first national houshold goods authority certificate from the Interstate Commerce Commission. The agent-owned company is owned exclusively by affiliated moving companies and management, as a result, the organization bears some resemblance to the cooperative organization.

It is the best known mover in the United States, but is in third place in market share with about 11% of the US moving market (according to the US Bureau of Transportation Statistics).

Baltimore Colts

Based in Indiana at the time, Mayflower Vans are notorious for helping the Baltimore Colts escape from Baltimore, Maryland in the dark of night to Indianapolis, Indiana.
