Whitney is the second album by American R&B singer Whitney Houston, released in 1987.
The album became the first album by a female artist ever to debut at #1, and produced a then-record-equalling 4 #1 singles from one album (though this was broken by Michael Jackson in 1988). The album still holds the record for a female with the most #1 songs from one album (though tied with Paula Abdul's 1989 debut Forever Your Girl, Janet Jackson's 1989 album Rhythm Nation 1814 and Mariah Carey's 1990 debut album.)
