Lisdoonvarna (Irish: Lios Dúin Bhearna) is a spa town in county Clare in the Republic of Ireland, famous for its music and festivals. In September, one of Europe's largest singles match-making festivals takes place. The event is an important tourist attraction. The name of the town comes from the Irish, meaning "The enclosure of the gap".

The Irish folksinger Christy Moore [1] wrote a song called Lisdoonvarna wherein he celebrated the festive character of the West of Ireland.
