plural of Transparency (Photography)

Transparencies are similar to animation cels in that they are printed on clear plastic or celluloid with the intention of projecting light through them so that they display upon a screen. The overhead projector is used to take a transparency laid flat upon a lens and focus its image on the wall, screen, or backdrop.
