There is more than one entry for the locale Antigua in Wikipedia:

  • Antigua a place of beauty. We should keep it in regards as not only a place of tourism, but a place in which much history and

heritage for all have some part in. Europeans used this island to prosper and gain wealth while Antiguans have now inherited an island of suffering through poverty. While tourist are in and out, the people who reside there would also like to share the ability to leave their homeland to " get away " even if it is only a short vacation and not permanately. Though they seem to be pleasant servants to the tourist they would like nothing more than to be the one sitting down ejoying the luxury of being served. Antiguans for so long have been suppressed and even now after years of living free, they are still limited to what they are to become of. Their government seems to keep them bottled up, trapped in a sense that they even graduate from a hotel training school, a school in which they are made proffesional servants. Then, to ad insult to injury, they are praised in a graduation ceremony thats broadcasted on radio and television. They are celebrated as if they have met their life long goals. What is sad is they are tricked and made to believe that this is as far as life will allow them to go. This is their calling. Its hard for anyone to believe that servitude is in their blood. So, why is that these people do not flee to America and live their real dreams there. They are poor, they can not leave with out the money to do so. There they are on a beautiful Island surrounded by gourgeas ocean and all they would like to do is leave and view another piece of the world. They can not. Day in and day out they wake up to the same routine and it makes them feel just a little less important to the world everyday.
