William Thomas White

The Right Honourable Sir William Thomas White (November 13 1866 - February 11 1955) was a Canadian politician and Cabinet minister.
White, a financier and lawyer, was first elected to the Canadian House of Commons in the 1911 general election as a Conservative and was named Minister of Finance in the government of the newly elected Prime Minister of Canada, Sir Robert Borden. White was Finance Minister for the duration of World War I and left Cabinet in August 1919. In 1920 he was named to the Imperial Privy Council allowing him to use the honorific Right Honourable. He remained a Member of Parliament until the 1921 Canadian election when he retired from politics.
