I believe that Wikipeida user pages are not an arena for social networking, if you would like to meet other people I recommend [[1]]. This page exists to help me organise my to do list and discussions with other wikipedians.
Prolific Wikipedia Awards
As some of you may be aware I am the designer of the Prolific Wikipedia Awards shown below.
These awards should only be given to those deserving them. The criteria for these awards are quite strict and someone must satisfy the following criteria to merit one. However don't feel afraid to give them out! I am not going to patrol who has been given these and check, I trust my fellow wikipedians under the assume good faith philosophy. But please know that I spent considerable time designing these and I will be dissapointed if my hard work is handed out like M&M's to those who havent really gone out of their way for the project.

About Me
Hey and welcome to my user page. Please feel free to post any questions or requests for artwork on my talk page, I will try and answer them as soon as possible. If you have a request for custom artwork for a Wikipeida article please read the section below and post according to the format I’ve given. It will help speed up the process.
I first stumbled across Wikipeida in 2002 while I was at school with the helpful assistance of Google. It was a very different site back then and much has changed. It remains clear that many things will change as wikipedia becomes more concise and widespread. From 2002 I have been contributing silently. Now studying at University I have decided to come out of my anonymous shell and put my name on my work. This user page is an extension of that and you are welcome to view it as my curriculum vitae where wikipedia is concerned.
I value my anonymity on the internet. Acquiring my nationality, age, name, and any other data revealing my identity will not improve the Wikipedia project. All the personal information I have here is for people to gain an insight into the kind of person I am and to add credence and qualification to my edits. If you have a burning desire to get to know me as a person then messaging me is probably the best way to do it.
I'm a Brighton & Hove based student of Biochemistry. I am also involved in creating diagrams especially of a medical nature for use here on Wikipeida. My interests are military technology and history as well as medical and biochemical articles. My politics are slightly right of centre and I generally follow the Labour Party although I also frequently support both conservative and liberal ideology. Since first coming to Wikipeida seeking information for a school project I have contributed enormously to many existing articles such as the Falklands War and United Kingdom article as well as various other biological entries.
Wikipeida Artwork
Thumbnail Gallery of my Most Recent Work(more of my pictures can be seen ay my gallery):
As you may be aware I am able to make custom artwork such as diagrams, flow charts, graphs and maps for Wikipeida articles. Requesting me to do such a piece can take some considerable time depending on the nature of the picture. Generally it takes between 2-4 days for a small 600 x 600 pixel diagram such as a map. More complex diagrams can take upwards of a week depending on how busy I am. Anyone can request for me to do a piece to assist an article. All you need to do is post the following information in this format on my talk page;

Diagram Description*:
Size of Diagram:
Location of Diagram on Page:
I will then review the subject matter you wish me to create a diagram for and get back in touch should I need any further assistance. Normally this is not necessary as with most diagrams it is simply a case of bringing the article to my attention and I will be able to clearly see why and where a diagram is needed. However if its a highly specific article then I will generally get in touch with you for more specific information.
I use a combination of Adobe Photoshop 7.0.1 and Corel Painter IX.5 with a Wacom Intuos 2 graphics tablet to create my pieces. Some examples of my work can be found in my gallery.
Important Links
Did you know that there are 1198 biochemistry stubs pending writting still. Some noteable pages that don't exist are ones such as the bohr shift page. There are an additionl 800 biology pages, 1000 chemistry pages and many more physics, pharmacy, medicine etc. pages all pending writting. Whilst wikipedia remains very well informed on historical and current affairs articles its scientific regions lapse dangerously behind the level of competitors like encarta and britannica. I don't try to have 5,000 edits to my name, i'd much rather have 50 well written articles than 50,000 spelling corrections and cleanups. Thats not to say that those things arent important to the project but they are ancillary to my personal goals. After all, if all the academics can make 50 well written pages in a year (thats only one a week) then it wil only take 50-100 of us to clear the entire backlog of scientific stubs in one year. I feel thats an achievable goal. If your another stub writter please feel free to contact me for any assistance you need (whether thats in the form of diagrams or otherwise.
