The following is a detailed account of each episode plot during the course of the first and second seasons of Noah's Arc.

Season 1 (October 2005)

Episode 1.1: My One Temptation, Part 1

Noah befriends a fellow writer, who wants to spend a lot of time with him but is obviously straight. Ricky struggles to resist the advances of his hot new store clerk. Meanwhile, Chance moves into a new home with his boyfriend and his boyfriend's daughter.

  • The pilot episode introduces the four main characters: Noah, Alex, Ricky and Chance whom are all either single, involved or married and living in Los Angeles.
  • This episode introduces Noah's "straight" friend Wade Robinson who is a successful screenwriter and later becomes Noah's prominent boyfriend.
  • This episode introduces Trey (Gregory Keith) who is Alex's boyfriend for seven years.
  • This episode introduces Eddie (Jonathan Julian) who is Chance's fiancee and father of Kenya (Jurnee Cropps).

Episode 1.2: My One Temptation, Part 2

Noah seems to think that Wade may not be totally straight after he accepts an invitation to hang out with Noah at a gay club. Alex learns that his boyfriend Trey has a secret sex life when he stumbles upon a gay Internet site Trey frequents. Meanwhile, Chance has second thoughts about moving in with Eddie.

Episode 1.3: Don't Mess With My Man

When Noah begins neglecting his friends in favor of Wade, he tries to bring the two sides together at Sunday brunch. But Wade's ignorance of all things gay shines through, as does his jealousy over Noah and Ricky's physical closeness. Ricky hires a cute new store clerk but grows angry when the new employee doesn't acknowledge him. Meanwhile, Chance suspects Eddie of cheating.

Episode 1.4: Don't Make Me Over

Alex shocks his friends by deciding to sign up for an amateur drag competition. But he gets cold feet before going up on stage. Noah wants to meet Wade's straight friends but he feels uncomfortable by Wade's attempts to change his appearance. Ricky tries to prove to his friends that he isn't addicted to sex. Chance tries to get over Eddie but is consoled by a stranger.

Episode 1.5: Nothin' Goin' On But The Rent

Noah has to sell his car in order to raise money to pay his rent. When Wade offers to pay the rent for him, Noah declines. In an effort to cheer him up, Wade throws an impromptu surprise birthday party for Noah. Chance goes to great lengths to salvage his relationship. Meanwhile, Noah faces a dilemma when Brandy, the Paramount executive whom Noah once had an aborted threesome with Wade, wants him to edit a script by Wade. Meanwhile, Alex comes to a major decision about his career when he leaves his job at the HIV/AIDS clinic.

Episode 1.6: Writing To Reach You

Wade's career flops, and Noah suggests they work together on a project. Alex becomes jealous over Trey's friendship with a straight colleague. Ricky falls for the new medical resident at the clinic. Chance's relationship with T-Money is rocky.

Episode 1.7: Love Is A Battlefield

Noah helps Wade's professional confidence by suggesting that he co-write an action script with him. While confronting a personal crisis, Ricky believes he is falling in love with Junito. Alex attempts to win Trey back by joining marriage counseling. Meanwhile, Chance makes a decision regarding his relationship with Eddie.

Episode 1.8: I'm With Stupid

Chance and Eddie take a big step in their relationship by deciding to get married. Wade temporarily moves in with Noah and immediately begins to wear out his welcome. Meanwhile, after learning his HIV status is negative, Ricky becomes skeptical of being intimate with Junito.

Episode 1.9: Got 'Til It's Gone

As the tension between Noah and Wade escalates, a handsome stranger threatens to rip them apart. Meanwhile, Chance and Eddie have their wedding but the affair isn't a pleasant one. Alex misreads his relationship with Trey and learns that his man is leaving for Africa for six months. Meanwhile, Ricky tries desperately to forget about Junito.
