Al Bianchi

Alfred A. "Al" Bianchi (born March 26 1932, in Long Island City, New York) is an American former professional basketball player and coach.

A 1954 graduate of Bowling Green State University, Bianchi played ten seasons for the Syracuse Nationals (which became the Philadelphia 76ers in 1963), beginning in 1956. In 1966, he was hired as the Chicago Bulls' first assistant coach, and from 1967 to 1969 he served as head coach of the Seattle SuperSonics, compiling a 53-111 record.
