Hello World!

I've just created this account. Once I've played around in the sandbox and found my way around I plan to start contributing some articles. My first articles will probably descriptions of a couple of Ian Stewart's mathematics books that are referenced but are missing an article at the moment.

My first name is Chris and my user name is just my initials.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Physics and a Master's in Engineering, but, when I have the time and energy, I also enjoy reading literature and history. I currently work for a software company as an applications engineer. I am starting a diploma in Mathematics at the Open University in January 2005.

I've watched the whole GNU/Linux phenomenon from the sideline, but as I'm not a coder I've never participated. Instead I want to find our for myself how such a process works in reality by participating in Wikipedia.
