Levon J. Kemalyan was the founder and owner of Kemtron Corporation, formerly a California corporation. Kemtron was a manufacturer of model railway cars, locomotives, and accessories. Kemtron employed legendary design engineers. Their legacy was so great that their parts are still being manufactured by Precision Scale Co., who purchased the Kemtron line in the 60s.

Kemalyan pioneered the use of the lost wax casting system to produce finely detailed parts for model railroad kits. He also produced brass kits, primarily locomotives, that were ahead of their time in detail and performance.
