The EU Flag

OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION

HERALDIC: On a field azure a circle of twelve mullets or, their points not touching.

SYMBOLIC: Against the background of blue sky, twelve golden stars form a circle, representing the union of the peoples of Europe. The number of stars is invariable, twelve being the symbol of perfection and entirety. Azure represents the sea, sky and all the planet, whilst Gold is the colour of enlightenment.

THENAME: There is no official or common nickname for the EU Flag yet, like there is for the AMerican Flag ("Star sprangled banner") of the UK flag ("Union Jack"). However there's a democratic poll running which shows that the most voted EU flag's nickname at time of writing would be: "Eurock"
