The music group Cascada (pronounced cas-cah-da) is comprised of singer Natalie Horler and two German DJ/producers Yanou and DJ Manian who produce the instrumental tracks that Natalie later sings on top of. Cascada is recognized around the world as the trio behind the hit single "Everytime We Touch". Natalie (often referred to as "Nat") was born in Bonn, Germany to English parents. Due to the very English lifestyle her family lived, she learned both fluent German and English. When speaking, she has more of an English accent than a traditional German accent that one would expect from a citizen of Bonn.
Band name
The project was originally named "Cascade", but was changed to "Cascada" due to legal conflicts. The name "Cascade" can be found on the first edition CDs and records of "Miracle" put out by the group by their record label at the time, Andorfine, but this error was soon corrected and the single was re-released under the Cascada name with new cover art. The original versions are now out of stock and production, and may very well be considered a piece of history in the long run. Cascada means "waterfall" in Spanish.
Collaborations
Cascada has worked on many projects for DJ Manian and Yanou. Other projects that Yanou, DJ Manian, and Natalie have worked on together is the "Siria" side project, which spawned the singles " Endless Summer" and "I Will Believe It", the "Akira" single "Piece of Heaven" (follow up Akira singles have another singer, and a new production team), the "Diamond" single "Reason", and the "Scarf!" single "Odysee". Another single that Natalie is featured on is the 2 Vibez song "Sometimes", which was produced by the famous German producer and DJ, Bass-T.
Everytime We Touch
Cascada experienced mainstream success in the U.S.A. almost a year after releasing her second American single, "Everytime We Touch". The first American single, "Miracle", did not make as large of an impact on the United States' radio audience as it did in Europe and Canada, so when "Everytime We Touch" appeared on the US Hot 100, it was unexpected for both listeners, as well as Cascada's record label, "Robbins Entertainment" (who also had another Hot 100 hit with D.H.T.'s "Listen to Your Heart" just a few months prior). Soon after the popularity of the single skyrocketed, an album was quickly recorded and released (in a matter of weeks), and a music video for "Everytime We Touch" was also distributed for promotion.

Mislabelings
Many songs by other artists have been distributed over the internet, listed as being sung by Cascada. Many of the songs labelled as Cascada songs are actually Cascada remixes produced by DJ Manian and Yanou (Natalie herself only provides vocals, and does not make the actual music). Some other songs are simply mislabelled as Cascada either by accident, or on purpose in order to get more hits on P2P clients (Cascada is currently a very popular search in North America, making it easy for other songs to become popular by mislabelling them). Some of these songs include:
- 7 Years and 50 Days (Cascada vs. Plazmatek Remix) (Groove Coverage)
- Big Bad Love (Cascada Remix) (Spring Break)
- Come Home (DJ Rad feat. Zoe)
- Endless Summer (Siria)
- Hurricane (Cascada Remix) (Alex Megane)
- I Can’t Stand It (Cascada Remix) (Danielle Paris)
- I Will Believe It (Cascada Remix) (Siria)
- Little Star (Cascada Remix) (Lazard)
- The Love U Promised (Cascada Remix) (Maia)
- Magic Summer Night (Cascada vs. Plazmatek Remix) (Klubbingman)
- Piece Of Heaven (Akira)
- Reason (Bulldozer Remix) (Diamond)
- Shut Up (Cascada Remix) (Spring Break)
- Tomorrow (Cascada Remix) (Dyce)

- Kids In America (Kim Wilde)
- Wouldn’t It Be Good (Nik Kershaw)
