Luke Brandon Scott (born June 25, 1978 in De Leon Springs, Florida) is a major league baseball left fielder who currently plays for the Houston Astros. Career-wise, he has a batting average of .188. He attended Oklahoma State University-Stillwater. In the summer of 2000, he played for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
Highlights
- Became the first rookie in Houston franchise history to hit for the cycle (July 28, 2006). He hit his first Major League home run in the fourth inning into the Crawford Boxes at Minute Maid Park, followed by a fifth inning triple, a seventh inning double, and an eleventh inning single. He became only the fifth Astros player to hit for the cycle, the first since Craig Biggio in 2002.
