Fairview is a neighbourhood of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It consists of about 40 blocks on an east-facing hillside overlooking Halifax and Bedford Basin.

The neighbourhood grew out of a German settlement once known as Dutch Village. The old Dutch Village Road still forms the main commercial street in the neighbourhood.

The community is mainly residential in nature, and it began to take on a suburban form around the time of World War I. The streets form a fairly regular grid pattern. Expansion continued through the century until the last subdivision, Keystone Court, was completed about 1990. The population is approxamatly 13,000.

There is a sports park near the centre of the neighbourhood named W. D. Piercey Park. There are several churches of various denominations, elementary schools and Fairview Junior High School. Halifax West High School opened in 1958 but it was closed about 2000 and a new school of the same name was built outside the community. Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 142 is also located in the community.

Well-known natives of Fairview include "The Dutch Village Philosopher", Titus Smith, Jr. (1768-1850), a writer, surveyor, geologist and botanist; and Tim Garrigan, leader of the 1970's rock band Pepper Tree.

Fairview abuts Clayton Park on the north and the Bicentennial Highway on the south.
