Tornado Alley

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Everyking (talk | contribs) at 00:29, 4 October 2004 (we already have a definition that looks a lot better than that one). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

Tornado Alley is defined by the American Meterological Society as "The area of the United States in which tornadoes are most frequent. It encompasses the great lowland areas of the Mississippi, the Ohio, and lower Missouri River Valleys. Although no state is entirely free of tornadoes, they are most frequent in the Plains area between the Rocky Mountains and Appalachians."
