The Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana (Centralamerican Technological University) is a private coeducational academy with two campuses in the 2 main cities of Honduras: Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula.

The University was founded in 1986 by a group of Honduras Businessmen and Professors of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH - Honduras National University) who had envisioned the creation of an institute that had its main focus on teaching the sciences to its students without compromising their knowledge of the human sciences.

Since 2005 UNITEC Honduras is member of Laureate International Universities.
