Achmad Yani International Airport ([IATA]: SRG, [ICAO]: WARS) serves [Semarang], [Central Java], [Indonesia]. It became international airport by the first international flight of [Garuda Indonesia] to Singapore in december 2004..

General Information • Main Runway: 2250 x 45 m (officially since 4th augustus 2006) • Second Runway: 1070 x 45 m • Passengers per day: 1.600 to 2.000 (2006) • Regular airline companies:[Garuda Indonesia] , [Lion Air], [Batavia Air] , [Mandala Airlines], [Sriwijaya Air].

Future Plans Central Java Government has planned to expand the airport in 2004. The project begins in 2005 and will be finished in 2008. When its finish, Achmad Yani International Airport will upgrade some of its facilities.

1. Longer runway. The airport will have 2,650 m runway thats capable for [Boeing 777], [Boeing 747], [MD-11], [Airbus A340] and Airbus A330.

2. New and bigger terminal. The airport will have a new terminal thats located in the north of the old terminal. It's 21,500 metre square wide and able to accomodate 2 mediium jet and 8 small jet.
