Goli Ameri (in Persian:گلی عامری) is an American-Iranian businesswoman who ran for U.S. House of Representatives from Oregan.She was born in 1956 in Tehran,Iran as Goli Yazdi.She is the official nominee of Republican Party in 1st district of Oregon for U.S. House of Representative.

Early Life

She immigranted to United State when she was 17.She recieved her B.A. in Communication and French Literature from Stanford University.She also got her Masters from Stanford.She also has studied at the Sorbonne in Paris, France.She married 25 years ago to Jim Ameri a real-state investor and a Stanford graduate.

Work Experiments

She started up some succesful High-Tech companies in Silicon Valley includes eTinium.

2004 Campaign for House

In 2004,she won all primaries in Republican Party for 1st district of Oregon's seat in the House and became as a official nominee of Republican Party for challenging Rep.David Wu, 6th most liberal member of the House, who also graduated from Stanford.
