Slipknot (knot)

The main purpose of the slipknot is that when is it pulled on, it will become tighter. This is why slipknots are quite often used in securing objects or weight bearing ropes.

A slipknot is generally created by attaching a rope to itself, creating a loop that can be tightened later.
