X-Wing Rogue Squadron 24: In the Empire's Service is the twenty-fourth issue of the Star Wars: X-wing Rogue Squadron comic book series. It was originally published on 5 November 1997, and later collected in the Star Wars: X-Wing Rogue Squadron - In the Empire's Service trade paperback, and in June 2007 will be collected in the Omnibus: X-wing Rogue Squadron Volume 3 trade paperback. The events in this story take place in the Star Wars galaxy approximately four years after the events in Episode IV: A New Hope.
