The following is a list of articles about established anime conventions from around the world with attendances of more than 2,000 persons as well as the largest convention in each state (US), province (Canada) or country. The list is divided up by location, and each convention includes dates during which it is typically held in parentheses.

The dates listed are approximate or traditional time periods for each convention; for more details, please see the article or website of the individual convention(s) concerned.

For other types of conventions featuring some anime content but are not primarily anime/manga oriented, please see below.

note: calculation methods used from con to con may be different, especially when using the "total" attendance classification. Such figures may be counting all people at the venue and not just paid attendance, possibly including guests, staffers, volunteers, 3rd party fan groups or panelists, and people not actually attending the event but sharing the space of the venue.
