Cleanup calendar : Newest | Earlier this month | September | August | Old | Instructions

Please read Wikipedia:Cleanup process for instructions on maintaining this page. There may be more suitable pages for requests, see the resources for collaboration box on the right.

For articles that just need wikification, you should use the wikify template. See Category:Articles that need to be wikified for articles that need wikifying.

If an article needs further cleaning up, add cleanup to the top of the article. To see articles with this tag added, see Category:Cleanup

Some editors prefer that helpers work on leftovers and older articles, just to deal with them and get them out of the way. See the cleanup calendar for requests from previous months. But either preference, new or old; all help is appreciated. If you have a cleanup routine, add your name and your routine preferences (how often, old/new articles, what subjects, etc ) to the cleanup routine list.

Comment: if this is changed into a footer, the placement of this template in the articles that use it needs to be changed as well. Mgm|(talk) 08:46, Oct 22, 2004 (UTC)
• Dave Sim unsubstantiated hyperbole, not even close to NPOV -- Rick Block 01:18, 22 Oct 2004 (UTC)
• Captain Albert Steiner was posted as a cleanup but not listed here. He's a character from "Final Fantasy IX" which my son happens to have. See, it does pay to have a game console at home.  :^) I've cleaned and formatted it somewhat. - Lucky 6.9 00:13, 22 Oct 2004 (UTC)

• Andrea Spinks - a POV mess, reads like a copyvio. RickK 22:29, Oct 21, 2004 (UTC)
• Heart Mountain War Relocation Center - Kiddie-wiki sans real wikis, but a good start to a legit article. I'm surprised this wasn't already listed! - Lucky 6.9 22:08, 21 Oct 2004 (UTC)
• The Foot Shooting Party - thought it was patent nonsense, but it really is a Leonardo DiCaprio flick. Fannish and breezy style, no wikis, no formatting, no external links and lacks info. - Lucky 6.9 21:51, 21 Oct 2004 (UTC)
• Did some cleanup, still a stub, though it's only a 27 minute short, there probably isn't much more that can be said. RickK 22:30, Oct 21, 2004 (UTC)
• OID and Object identifier should be merged into one article. Ray Dassen 20:58, 2004 Oct 21 (UTC)

• Painting -- while it would of course need more content, it's also needed that someone cleans up all the different link lists. ✏ Sverdrup
• David carson - google scores plenty of hits so appears notable, article needs overhaul though. -- Graham ☺ | Talk 17:37, 21 Oct 2004 (UTC)

• Portlands Energy Centre - unwikified text dump. RickK 05:41, Oct 20, 2004 (UTC)
• Communes of the Lot département - almost every active link leads to the wrong page or to a disambiguation page. Anyone know the standard disambiguation for French communes? Rmhermen 03:43, Oct 20, 2004 (UTC)
• The standard disambiguation for French communes (when needed) is: "commune, département". For instance, we should have: Bach, Lot, etc. Thanks for working on this! olivier 06:25, Oct 20, 2004 (UTC)
• Red Herring (magazine) - Judging by IP, obviously the editors of this magazine have been adding to this entry. Lots of self-promo-type stuff. DAVODD «TALK» 01:19, Oct 20, 2004 (UTC)
• Chen Duxiu - Have corrected much of the original problems which resulted in cleanup request; still needs some copyeditting and some reworking of the biblio (chinese needs to be in parenthesis). Watch for continuous reverts by users meaning well but new. Tom 01:17, Oct 20, 2004 (UTC)

• LEPrecon is extremely breezy and fannish (hey, that kinda works!) not to mention unwikified. Could grow into a nice article. - Lucky 6.9
• It's wikified now, but with more attention could grow into an even better article than it is currently. -sbeath
• Agreed. Much better. - Lucky 6.9 21:53, 21 Oct 2004 (UTC)
• Divalent metals Probably for VFD, but perhaps this deserves a real article. Something about biology, but current text is nonsense, probably from a research paper. Academic Challenger
• Land of Muggy--where is this from? Notable? Copyvio? Needs to be wikified. Possible vfd. Meelar (talk)
• Lisp Machines, Inc. - unwikified text dump. RickK
• Aqua Teen Hunger Force - Some parts are pretty messy, for example the part where it describes the things that Dr. Weird as done in the opening sequences, or the part about Meatwad's brain + I cleaned up meatwad and dr wierd a bit, not sure if its much better though. siroχo
• Isn't there some rule that Wikipedia isn't an episode guide? This article lists all episodes... Mgm|(talk) 18:41, Oct 20, 2004 (UTC)
• Jakob Maria Mierscheid - a confusing mess, not yet in English, and not yet clear what it's saying; it resembles to some extent its counterpart on de: (which has further ext lks) but does not parallel it. Is "he" notable, or VfD fodder? (Removed from LoPbN where "fictitious politician" is reason to disqualify, since article is too vague to change that description.)
He is a fiction (a kind of joke actually) although a well known one. His "personal data" really is on the website of the German parliament, "his" article in the social democratic paper exists and sometimes he is mentioned in publications of the Bundestag. -- Zeitgeist 18:40, 22 Oct 2004 (UTC)
It's from a user who was permanently banned on the German wikipedia for trying to insert blatantly pro GDR POV statements in articles. I guess its best if you just delete the section. -- Zeitgeist 18:42, 22 Oct 2004 (UTC)

• Macedonian Empire All one paragraph, not in Wikipedia style, needs NPOV ("From this world of daring and passion, of questing and contradiction the robust Hellenism of Macedonia carried the art of man to the ends of the inhabited world, bestowing poetry upon the mute and, in the infancy of mankind, instilling philosophical thought.")
• Leroy Chiao no lead section, not in complete sentences
• Heinz Leymann - not sure if the subject is encyclopedic, but the current content belongs at mobbing, if anywhere. Niteowlneils
• Mobbing itself could do with some tidyup. Jackiespeel 16:52, 18 Oct 2004 (UTC)
• Rufus Anderson - reads like a translation, could use some editing. Spatch 21:39, 17 Oct 2004 (UTC)

• Beatsteaks - context, formatting, get rid of non-encylopedic language. Neutrality (hopefully!) 17:56, Oct 17, 2004 (UTC)
• Battle of Prachuab Khirikhan - looks like a copyvio, but doen't seem to be from my quick search. Needs serious cleanup, wikification, and factcheck. Could probably be trimmed down too. -R. fiend
• Rebecca Riots - needs npov work - cohesion
• List_of_stations_of_the_Paris_M%E9tro The stations, except a few, shouldn't have their own page. Isn't there a map of the Paris Metro? Peter O. (Talk)
• The talk page has a big discussion about this problem from an old VfD. Someone went in and fired off pages for all of them, now they sit stagnant. Half a year ago there was much talk, but nothing was done - the VfD essentially didn't go through. If the deletion call succeeded, you'd probably end up with something like the TTC subway, which I prefer, personally - stations are listed on a page for their line, rather than a page for every station. The other extreme is the London Underground approach. The difference between the Paris and London pages, of course, is that there were enough Londoners (and there was possibly enough history) to flesh out a good number of the London station pages... Any volunteers for Paris? Krupo
• Cleanup instructions: If any station page linked there is just a few lines long, redirect to List_of_stations_of_the_Paris_M%E9tro and remove the link from that page. Peter O. (Talk) 06:09, Oct 18, 2004 (UTC)
• Wachovia Financial Center - Bulleted list that smells of a copyvio, but google doesn't find anything. --Kbh3rd
• Copyscape.com showed one 2-sentence bullet to be a copy from the Miami Herald, which I've fixed. It needs bullets-into-prose. -R. S. Shaw
• I'm not sure its a clean-up issue, but JongPark has made a number of new pages for unused scientific neologisms regulome, funcomics and expressome (that do need clean up and wikifying if they stay), and seems to have replaced content on the Genome and Proteome pages--nixie
I've moved funcomics to functomics, and changed everything currently here[3] to more standard formatting, but they do still need help rather badly--high headline to paragraph ratio, let alone issues like whether the topics are actually valid. Niteowlneils
I assume that the same person was also making changes from here 211.230.32.87 since they were happening at the same time. Some topics might be candidates for the wiktionary, but I would err on the side of deleting a few--nixie
Oy vey! OK, I've cleaned up the IPs formatting, as well as User:Jong. Niteowlneils 21:58, 17 Oct 2004 (UTC)
I've marked the entries that are really obscure to go to the wiktionary--nixie 02:18, 18 Oct 2004 (UTC)

• NT (temperament) - Looks like one of the Myers-Briggs types. This might be a copyvio, but if not it need formatting and wikifying. It must be likely that there are some similar articles for the other types. -- Solipsist 08:38, 16 Oct 2004 (UTC)

• List of biographers - This article is so incomplete it's a joke. Obviously it can never be truly "complete", but right now it's a list of random authors that must have popped into someone's mind. Of the thousands of biographers out there I don't know why these few made the list. Needs work or it should go. -R. fiend 04:30, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
• Autonomous Learning - don't know if this is nonsense that should be deleted. It certainly needs a cleanup. GreatWhiteNortherner 03:19, 2004 Oct 15 (UTC)

• List of Charmed Good Beings/Temp - a mess. Unwikified, uses British terminology (series instead of season) for an American show, uses phraseology which sounds like it's copied from elsewhere -- "Her face lined with years of wisdom, her hands the fountainhead of a power beyond belief, the Warren witch" for example.
