Walter "Wattie" Buchan (b.1960, Edinburgh) is the frontman for the punk band The Exploited. After a brief stint in the British Army, Wattie returned to his home city of Edinburgh in Scotland energized with the commotion of the punk rock movement in Britain. In his absence, his brother Willie had formed a punk band which would eventually become The Exploited, and Wattie quickly took on the duty of a frontman. He has been fronting The Exploited for nearly 25 years and shows no signs of slowing down, as the group still records and tours regularly. Wattie has recently changed The Exploited's musical style to more of a metal sound. Still playing older songs, such as Sex And Violence, but with a new style which has made many older members of the punk rock scene very disappointed. His new material continues to grow and expand, developing new styles and creating new fusions of genres as it goes. The Exploited have influenced many many punk, metal, hardcore and metal bands.
