Straylight Run is an emo band currently signed to Victory Records, the same label as Taking Back Sunday. Straylight Run consists of John Nolan, Michelle Nolan (John's sister), Shaun Cooper, and Will Noon (of Breaking Pangea). John Nolan and Shaun Cooper were both part of Taking Back Sunday until 2003. John Nolan was the second vocalist and played the guitar. Jesse Lacey, lead singer of Brand New is John's best friend. They've been friends with each other since they were young. When John was in Taking Back Sunday, he wrote the song "There's No I In Team" about the crisis he and Jesse Lacey faced. In the end John and Jesse made up and John left Taking Back Sunday.

Straylight Run is going to be on tour with Hot Rod Circuit, Northstar and Say Anthing beginning October 15, 2004 to promote their forthcoming record, which will be released October 12, 2004.
