This is a list of characters from the American animated television series My Little Pony. Many of these characters also feature in My Little Pony: The Movie.

Regular cast

The original episode featured Little Ponies based on the toys released in 1984, and Escape From Catrina a new cast based on the toys of 1985. Of these, only the re-released ponies Sundance, Heart Throb and Posey became series regulars, along with the characters of Megan, Spike, the Moochic and the Bushwoolies.

Most of the series' regular cast were released as toys in 1986 and featured in My Little Pony: The Movie, with several new characters added in The Ghost of Paradise Estate. Characters would typically alternate between starring roles and cameo appearences in various episodes.

Children

  • Megan: A young American girl, the eldest of three children. She lives on a ranch where she keeps a horse, TJ, and a bull, Turo. She acts as the Little Ponies' leader, and in times of crisis they often fly across the rainbow to find her.
  • Danny: Megan's younger brother, a rambunctious redhead. Sometimes found leading the charge when a situation calls for reckless action.
  • Molly: Megan and Danny's younger sister, she's often scared around monsters, but never too scared to fight with Danny.
