AKC

The history section has some of the issues presented but is clearly written from the perspective of the pro-AKC club. Remember, Wikipedia is here to document not advocate. There are strong advantages and disadvantages to AKC membership, especially in the Spaniel world. I own an AKC registered field-bred spaniel and actively organize AKC field trials. For the hunting spaniel owner it is a love-hate relationship and to dismiss opposition to the AKC by a breed club as a mere money grab does not ring true. The AKC itself is much criticized for its drive to collect registry money at the expense of the health of dogs. Perhaps the author of the history section would take another stab at writing it after reading the wikipedia policy on NPOV--Counsel 02:49, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
