Greenhithe, Kent

Greenhithe, as it is spelled today (and has had other spellings!) is situated at a landing point on the south bank of the River Thames east of Dartford. In 2004 it has become an up-market housing area, but until the latter end of the 20th Century it was part of the cement industry base.
