Differences between book and film
- Perhaps the biggest change was cutting out the character Anginette, Aqua's twin sister and fifth member of the group.
- Dorinda is changed from bi-racial to caucasian.
- The Cheetah Girls all attend one school (In the books, Aqua and Angie attend a performing arts annex as opposed to fashion school.)
- Galleria is changed from tough, but ultimately warm-hearted to clinical and icy.
- Dorothea was originally intended to be a six-foot, plus-size, diva. In the movie she is short and waify.
- No reference was made to Chanel's eating disorder, which she suffered from in the books.
- Twinkie is changed from caucasian to African-American.
- There is no reference to the Kats N' Kitties club, a club to which all the members belong
- Derek is changed from African-American to caucasian.
- There is no reference to Aqua's parents being divorced.
The Soundtracks
TV Series
The Cheetah Girls TV series is a Disney Channel original show put on hiatus after four episodes, according to "TRL" in November of 2005. The show was put on hiatus after the contract for That's So Raven was renewed. Therefore, Raven would not have been able to be in the show. Now that That's So Raven is over, there is no news whether or not the show will start filming again. It is possible that disney channel is waiting to see how the ratings are for the August 25th release of The Cheetah Girls 2, to decide whether or not the show will be aired.
