Maple Valley Schools
Maple Valley Schools is located in Vermontville, Eaton County, Michigan. Vermontville Community Schools (Wildcats) in Vermontville, Eaton County, Michigan and Nashville Community Schools (Tigers) in Nashville, Barry County, Michigan consolidated in 1963 to form Maple Valley. Sunfield Community Schools (Wolves) in Sunfield, Eaton County, Michigan considered joining Vermontville and Nashville in 1961 to form a new school district but decided against the idea. Maple Valley Schools is within the Eaton Intermediate School District.
Maple Valley Schools is also known as Vermontville-Maple Valley. This is a general practice in Michigan where schools that do not share the name of the city where they are located; so the city name is placed in from of the school name.

Maple Valley Junior/Senior High School in Vermontville. Grades 7-12.
Maplewood School in Vermontville. Grades 4-6
Fuller Street Elementary School in Nashville. Grades K-3

The music for the MV Lions fight song is the same as Ohio State University fight song.
Maple Valley Schools consists of the (in Eaton County) Village of Vermontville, Vermontville Township and portions of the following townships: Sunfield Township, Kalamo Township, Chester Township, and Carmel Township. (in Barry County) Village of Nashville, and portions of the following townships: Castleton Township, Hastings Township, Maple Grove Township, Baltimore Township, and Assyria Township.
Currently, all young women in their junior (grade 11) year at Maple Valley Schools are eligible to compete for the title of Vermontville Maple Syrup Festival Queen and her court. The festival is held the last full weekend in April. Vermontville is home to the original syrup festival in Michigan.
