Michael Symes (born October 311983 in Great Yarmouth) is an English professional football (soccer) player currently on loan to Shrewsbury Town from Bradford City.

A striker, Symes started his career as a trainee at Everton where he reached the final of the FA Youth Cup, forging a strike partnership with Wayne Rooney. A succession of injuries prevented him from breaking into the Everton first team and he was released by David Moyes.

After being signed by Bradford City in 2004, he spent time on loan at Macclesfield Town, Stockport County and Shrewsbury Town, where he is currently playing.
