The School Culture
Like every school, Homebush has its own culture and traditions. Some of these include:

- Year Book - Summarising the course of events of the year, with year photos, and individual photos of graduation year.
- Senior Prank - It happened for a few years, however, due to the extent of the damage it caused it was subsequently banned. In 2002, the senior year attempted again, however were meet with a strong warning from the Vice-Principal that the Police will be involved if any attempts are made. However, in 2004 a series of senior pranks were successful. A convoy of over 15 cars roamed the streets and suburbs, propelling eggs at school students (MLC, PLC, Santa Sabina, St Patricks, Concord High, Burwood and Strathfield Girls). Subsequently, this eventuated to egg sales of local stores to skyrocket. As a result, there were costly damage to school property, cars (RX8 and Lexus), and students. The NSW Police Force was involved and being notified of such behaviour that lasted for a period of nearly one month.
- Again in 2005 another end of year prank was pulled involving many HBHS students doing large scale "Egg Attacks" through local schools including Strathfield girls and Concord High (they got coated). 2 large retaliation attacks were done to Homebush which resulted in the paint damage to several classrooms and cars including a late model Ford Xr8, holden astra, Mitsubishi Magna and Rav4. These attacks although costly, are a tradition which will continue for years to come. over 6 students were suspended just before their HSC exams.
- Water Fights - a favourite past-time of many students during summer. However, it is banned in 2001 when too many students' parents complained.
