Test Drive Unlimited is a street racing video game that has licensed cars and motorcycles on 1000 miles of roads and highways on the Hawaiian island of Oahu.

The player will be able to go onroad and offroad whilst challenging racers on the spot. The Hawaiian island is within a metre of detail of its real life counterpart. The terrain will vastly differ from rainforest, mountains to sandy beaches to the urban atmosphere of Hawaii's capital city, Honolulu. Its graphics are said to be the best on the Xbox 360 so far and the PlayStation 2 version as well. The island will host 1000 people on it.

Making full use of Xbox Live and PlayStation 2 online gaming services, racers around the world will challenge others to join them on the game's persistent online racing world. Players can engage in online challenges, and build communities by creating or joining exclusive members clubs to talk, trade cars, and race with other like-minded drivers in one of the most comprehensive online racing experience to date.

You begin the game with $200,000 and by choosing one of 8 different characters that are waiting in line to catch a flight to Hawaii. When you get to the island, you will need to pick up a rental at the airport and drive to the real estate office to buy your first house. Houses are rated depending on their garages, the bigger the garage, the higher the price. After buying a house, you will head down to the dealership to purchase a car. How much you spent on the house will obviously determine how much you can spend on your car. From here, you will start your first event: a simple race across a few miles of terrain. If you win you will be given some cash. After winning you can head back home and change your player's appearance and clothes. At that point you are free to do whatever you please. If you are looking for some races, your GPS will lead you to the action. Events include time trials, beating radar speed traps or taxing commuters around the island. If you choose to go out for some joy riding, be careful not to exceed the speed limit or crash into others as you might alert the authorities. The cops will not pick on you during races, but otherwise you can be given tickets. There are also transport missions, where you transport the expensive and exciting vehicles of random billionares around the island. For this you get a reward in cash, minus the damage you do to their cars.

Players will build collections of the most sophisticated and fastest licensed cars in the world from manufacturers including Lamborghini, Audi, Dodge, Pagani, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Lotus, TVR, Jaguar,Saleen and many more. All vehicles are rendered to reflect their real-world counterparts, with interior detail boasting full car functionality, including windows, engine revs, and more.

Drivers can also customize their vehicles with parts and accessories from the actual manufacturers' catalogues to suit their individual tastes. New cars can be downloaded via Xbox Live.

Gamers can create challenges or races from more than 50 game rules and settings. Online competitions and tournaments can be held between club members or between different clubs. Division-based rankings will help separate the top drivers from the casual car enthusiasts..

What is M.O.O.R.?

Atari and Eden Studios have made a new game and with it they invented a new type of online experience called MOOR or Massivley Open Online Racing. When playing online you will be introduced to the entire island of Oahu and you will see thousands upon thousands of other players. Because there will be so many players, they introduced a filter that constantly updates, making it easier to choose a race. With the filter on, you will only see the 7 players closest to you that match your filter's criteria. The criteria can be a certain car make (Lamborghini for example), friends, clan members, people in your skill level, etc. Your vehicle will not take any damage online or offline in this game. This makes sense because you don't want somebody with an Audi A3 crashing into your brand new Ferrari. You will be able to race any other player in the game by driving up to them and asking them if they want to race. You will also be able to trade and auction off your vehicles online.

Test Drive: Unlimited Vehicle List

Due to reviewing of Streetwise's constant connection to Eden/Atari, their list will be the one shown. Newer sources have shown their list seems to be very likely one rather than any others shown. The list will include reported DLC cars as well.
